FREE Crafting E-book!

I am so excited to share my latest ‘crafting’ project with y’all! Think of it as a Christmas gift for all who love to recycle, upcycle and craft! Technically the ‘craft’ project is a crafty book project and I am going to tell you all about it today. So read on and enjoy.

I have always been obsessed with coming up with new ideas on how to craft using items that are easily found around the house. If those items are ones that I was going to throw out, all the better. So I have been collecting things to use in projects for as long as I can remember. When I was really young my collection consisted of lots of boxes of all shapes and sizes that used to be turned into little cities, complete with shopping malls, hospitals and schools. As I grew up and learnt more about crafting I started saving gift wrap, old cards and ย any fun looking pieces of paper to make collages. Now I save everything from soda cans, packaging plastic, fabric scraps, old books, jars, gift wrap, beads, scratched cds, match boxes… The list goes on and on and on ๐Ÿ™‚

Recently I came up with some really cool project ideas that used mostly items that would normally be thrown into the trash. When I was done with these projects I decided I would put them together in an e-book to share with y’all. Read on to find out how you can get this e-book for FREE!

All you have to do is go to http://www.alteredupcycling.com, and sign up to receive the book. We will email the link for the book to you and you can download the pdf version. The book itself is graphically intensive and so can’t be sent in an email. ๐Ÿ™‚

The book has lots of projects and lots of new techniques that you can try with soda cans, plastic packaging, fabric scraps and old cds to name a few!

Turn soda cans into jewelry and plastic packaging into necklaces. Turn old cds into novelty cards and so much else! Just downloaded your book! I have seen and used some of the techniques, but like to see them gathered. My favorite project in the book is the paper candle card–very cute.
About spray painting the die cut metal and stiff plastic–do you use a special paint to get it to stick to the plastic and metal? I have all kinds of materials as I am a craft hoarder. I don’t have a die cut machine, but do have a small embossing machine.
Thanks–I have bookmarked your site and will pass the word to crafty friends.
