My Steampunk Room – Part 1

So I have been trying to make my room decor as steampunk as possible and it’s taken me quite a while to get things to where they are currently. It is still a work under progress but I thought I’d share a few pictures with you….

The pencil holders started out as cans for garbanzo beans and were turned into victorian/steampunk wonders using scrapbooking paper, some vintage stickers and lace. I usually start all my interior decorating projects with the smallest items and these were the first things I made for my room.

Next up is my desktop. I love sitting on my desk and working. Whether it’s playing around on my laptop, studying or crafting, my desk is a highly used workspace and needed to be something beautiful and arty. I used old maps and letters and lot of gesso to come up with this…

And now my favorite display piece…I love music and I adore low light and victorian frames and here is how I put them all together! Stay tuned for more on my Steampunk adventures!
